I won tickets to see Muallaf premier in Cineleisure at The Curve thanks to random comment I gave on KLue fanpage on Facebook.
Again, any movies by the late, great storyteller will never fail to disappoint those who can truly read between the lines in what she produced. An elegant masterpiece, with excellent details that comes with joy of humor and tears of sadness. Unlike most fabricated rubbish that concentrate on making money, this movie primarily is one of the simplest movie above all. The others were more heavy in content but this one is a fairly light one and I wonder why it has been banned for the past 2 years.
She described bits of Koran and ordinary life of people in details that could only be described in her way of making movies.
The balding issue? Or the overly religious quotes from the Holy Books such as Koran and Bible? As well as Tao Te Ching?
"People are afraid of things they do not know about"
Watching such great epic made me realize how unreligious I have became and how the lazy bug hits me on my prayers. I may not be the kind that complete it entirely but I do try to pray on time, which can be challenging sometime and I do still have faith in The Almighty.
I worry too about those who have lost theirs.
Initially, I wanted to elaborate about the movie but I guess its best not to give spoiler. Have a go and watch it when it comes out! It may not be as futuristic as Avatar and so much action like New Moon but the love story could be enjoyed as well.
GO!
