Deeper Conversation

Is your favourite colour blue?
Do you always tell the truth?
Do you believe in outerspace?
And I'm learning you

Is your skin as tanned as mine?
Does your hair flow sideways?
Did someone took a portion of your heart?
And I'm learning you

And if you don't mind
Can you tell me
All your hopes and fears
And Everything that you believe in
Would you make a difference in the world
I'd love for you to take me to a deeper conversation
Only you can make me

I let my guard down for you
And in time you will too

If you don't mind
Can you tell me
All your hopes and fears
And Everything that you believe in
Would you make a difference in the world
I'd love for you to take me to a deeper conversation
Only you can make me

If you don't mind
Can you tell me
All your hopes and fears
And Everything that you believe in
Would you make a difference in the world
I'd love for you to take me to a deeper conversation
Only you can make me

Does your name rhymes with mine...

I do not post lyrics in general, but this one is worth every word.

A Moment Like This

Alexandria. January 2005.

Journey of a lifetime. My first Fajita. The girl; in Beijing. The Pan-Arabic; Missing in Action. The white dude; Switzerland. The host brother (in black); Supermodel in Hollywood.

To think back, one of the most pleasant time I had was in Alexandria. But then again, for only 5 short days.

A Journey Through Hell

After performing in Nasyid, and loosing in the competition (which doesn't really matter because we were special, singing song in English about Gaza) I took off for quick break with friends and back to the comfort of my room and had a quick sleep of 4 hours. I woke up at 7.30am on Thursday, having Islamic Studies presentation waiting for me to settle and successfully done it with great bunch of teammates. All was done by 10.30 and we had a quick break or more or less early lunch until about noon and I went for a short nap before class starts at 1pm.

We had drama going on with our society establishment, and the drama continued until 6pm and by the time I got back to my room I was distracted with a million other things to do and rushed for the meeting at 8pm. It went on until about 10pm and I went back to my room to pack up. I headed back to the cafe to have chat and tension releasing moment with friends and so much of laughter we had while waiting for other friends to finish up their assignments.

We headed to Prima Avenue by 1am, and was there until it was almost 5.30am. It was one of he most productive pillow talk ever in my life. It became a sort of informal meeting and brainstorming sessions, and I think it should and might just would be done on regular basis. We got back at the hostel by about almost 6-something am and was there until it was sunrise.
More chat and gibberish joke were flying among us.

My friend sent me to the main bus station which is a sort of nightmare of my life since I usually frequent the Old Railway Station bus hub but I had to rush back to the great Prince of Wales Island for a driving school appointment. I arrived by 2pm, got ready by 3pm and headed straight until 6pm. Its mum's birthday as well so we had a kind of celebration more or less by having everyone home. I only slept at about 3am.

We had a great nasi kandar breakfast the next morning and I continued to laze the day and made my sister bring me to get some name tags and lanyard in Nanyang on Carnavon Street. Love this old shop, and bargained with the uncle and had dirt cheap discounts. Headed home, slept, again.

Its been somewhat unproductive weekend with too much of sleep but the best part I get to spend time with my family. On Sunday morning I headed to Tanjung Marina in between Church Street Pier and Weld Quay for AFS Penang Chapter Launch. It was fun to see something from Penang is on and meeting old friends is just pleasant. I was brought home by Yelena's parents and we stopped by Rope Walk for some fruits. Having my sister ever-amazing DSLR I snapped as much as I could.

Lazed in home until now and I have right about 1 more hour before I leave this great island. Big sigh. Back to the ever sinful, ever evil, ever fast, ever imperfect city.

Save Me

This week is nuts.

I have too many things to do at once, and they all clashes.

Life hates me approximately starting today, I have pimple on my cheek which has never been seen for a while and there is a eeky disgusting geicko in my room on my table I'm trying to get rid off without getting any close contact with.

SillyLilly

Silly me. I thought I could have gone for that concert. Sigh.

Nevertheless, I have his number. I could call him anytime. There will always be other gig.

At present, I am writing this as I am hooked up with abundance of assignments in Secret Recipe in Central Market as there has been no internet at all over this century everywhere I go most of the time. I have not gotten enough sleep, and awake as early as 7 in the morning and sleep as soon as 3 in the following morning. Life has been an intangible misleading conspiracy as I have been involved too much of money-spending activities to the point I had no chance to even call my mum for a decent chat, never mind begging her to squeeze in some penny so that I could breathe easy later on.

"jangan b0r0s" - obviously was texted on behalf of my mother and typed by the excellent PA, my sister.

No, I have not shopped much and money really goes away. I get my pay check every now and then and that too go missing. I need a vault to hide everything.

Now, I need to eat my lunch, continue the prosperity of having free fast internet and tied up with assignments before heading to the Islamic Museum for research.

Lie To Me With Style

I seriously love Yuna.

There are so much of things to do now, and few assignments due. And over the weekend my life is going to be too hard to handle. I have AFS AGM on Saturday, and work on Sunday. I've been wanting really to go see my friend Adrien Ritzal perform in KLpac for Australia Week and Bunkface in Malaysian Band Live Unplugged in Istana Budaya. I might have to sacrifice the last two due to new activities going on in college. Sigh. There goes my source of entertainment.

As I progress into the realm of this particular college, which is rather a small pond its becoming more amusing to see dramas going on with everyone. Also, I have spoken to everyone's favorite lecturer how amazing the money goes missing from the fees we pay to this college as compared to other institution. So much for an Infrastructure University. Money comes, money goes yet student live in shit. No, I'm not comparing to the slums in Mumbai but its truly a place you'd love to hate.

Nevertheless, I'm surviving. And Yay! to that.

The Limit To Your Love

I began to like The Feist. Its what influences Yuna and Estrella.

Today, I am safely back in the pathetic zone of the heavenly comfort of my room back in campus. As much I love to hate where I am now, I believe it has its special balance in it. And best of all I am no longer the odd lone ranger and back as the regular social butterfly as how Sheesha would describe me as. Bless the lovely girl now who is in Beijing and so much I miss having Ikea Swedish Meatballs with her on monthly basis. We talk so much about good ol' days in Egypt back in 05/06 and now when I have something random to talk to its rather hard to find the right person to go for.

As I was talking to an old dear friend, I began to confess how much I started to resent my passion of voluntherapy. Its what have been going on upon coming home from Egypt and has never stopped until recently when I decided to take an emergency shut down from all such activities. It has come to my thought that I feel taken for granted, having to sacrifice so much of money and time as well as friends and family doing what I thought I enjoyed so much; pleasing bunch of ungrateful pieces of useless selfish pricks. So much of hard work no longer feel being paid off well even the satisfaction at the end was the only thing I seek for.

I loved it, because I gained so much even unconsciously especially the part where I feel that I gained more self confident and ability to speak in public. Or maybe its just that I no longer could click with most because of other reasons?

I don't know, I really don't.

Its tiring, and I miss my families. Especially the one in Cairo, the ones in Tulsa and definitely the one in Prince of Wales Island.

Yes, its a bloody 25% Denim Voucher for Topman

Fly.fm came to college, and I won a bunch of goodies but not the Topman thumbdrive. I took the file from another chick who got it. And its legal to distribute it, I assure you.

Love me now, and go shopping later. Get me some skinny jeans, if you want to!

Rock Me In

I have no idea and inspiration on what to blog and thus I am using current song playing on my iTunes as my title. At present, I am waiting for tomorrow which is the day where I will be taking my result from the previous semester exam. Its amazing how time has passed without one even noticing how empty the kookie jar has been and it has been an experience to live the life I have now.

In the beginning I wrote somewhere how much of trouble I had adjusting in these new arena whereby a good ol'matey Sheesha keep saying how much of a social butterfly I am. However, reality hits hard and I realized how much of difference there is in the world here. The crowd isn't the same, the joke are mostly understood differently and the diversity is even awfully unbalanced. Nevertheless, I began to like it even more towards the end of my first semester, the lecturers (some) and the people.

I belong to no clan nor clique ever, since the day I started to join the institutions for destruction of my intelligence. Yes, I quote a friend of mine saying; "I was born smart, but education ruined me".

I have been taking a really long break from the society that has been labeled on my forehead, or more or less my ultimate identity of my existence. It has been what I have been doing the past years since I turned 16, and upon coming home from Obamaland (was unfortunately Bushland, but YAY now-sounds better right?). I love every moment of it, of which is known now as voluntherapy, according to CLEO. Catchy, is it not?

My experiences with it taught me so much about just everything from knowing the other races in this country to the point I could experience by living with them, to the point where I would be critical against discrimination, stereotyping and prejudice. Also, it has taught me to love my country even more as well to hate it even more at the same time. Well, we blame the hating towards the disputed dysfunctional political hoo-haas but we love how people understand and tolerate one another until today. Nevermind the racist bitches, they are whores who has no exposure how co-existence is useful and made Bolehland such a perfect place to live in. Not perfect in every way considering how screwed up the Komuter Tanah Boleh has been nor how crime has invaded and murdered our loved ones but I believe this land has been blessed by Lord.

How come we are so blessed? Look at the cars we drive. Then, compare it with the salary we earn. So, think about it. And look at how prosperous the people could shop even how bad Bear Stearn and Lehman Brothers collapsed. We are surviving.

It has come to my attention that I am very bad in organizing my life and my room which frequently looks like a ship has sank and left the cargo floating on the floor. I believe I deserve a proper bookshelves to stuff everything there. Yes, I love books and read them. Magazines are my worse reading-guilty pleasure. They have pretty-ful images, see. When I moved into this room in the campus here, I only brought a large black luggage. I now worry that when I have to move next time, I might require a truck.

I shall stop writing nonsense of the night and think of something productive to do, perhaps laundry which unfortunately I do not have coins to proceed with.

Note:
After posting this entry, I have realized how long I have not written because I could see the inconsistent amount of each paragraphs. I am dry, out of ideas. Inspiration, I beg you to come back!
